How to choose a good band sealer?

The type of band sealer depends on your production’s requirements:

1.Types of band sealer: vertical or horizontal

If you are packing liquid or sauce, a vertical band sealer is an ultimate choice as the bag will be standing on the conveyor. On the other hand, dry items like rice, nuts, and coffee are more suitable with a horizontal band sealer

2.Types of printing

Some band sealer offers date coder with solid-black ink, others offer hot stamp printing only. You need to decide how you want to print the expiry date on the sealing line. If the printing function is not important, you can skip this part. Generally, solid black ink printing band sealer is higher pricing than others.

3.Conveyor load

Most commercial band sealer has a conveyor loading of 5kg. If your packing requires a heavier load from 5-20kg per bag, do consider an industrial band sealer instead. The industrial machine has a stronger and more durable structure to carry a heavier load.

4.Vacuum or gas flushing

Convention band sealers only offer to seal and date printing functions. However, some models offer additional functions for vacuum sealing or vacuum and gas flushing for some food or hardware packing.

5.Machine structure and material

The stainless steel structure is strong and long-lasting. Besides, an aluminum-coated body is a more economical option, however, the coating might not be long-lasting and rust-proof.
